Frances M. Gallagher of Searcy, formerly of Harrisburg and Lepanto, departed this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at White County Medical Center at Searcy at the age of 62.

She was born June 15, 1945, in Elizabeth City, N.C., the daughter of Francis Marion "F.M." May and Billy May Cady May, former teachers at Lepanto High School.

Frances was a home economics teacher in the Memphis school system for many years and has been disabled for the past 25 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lepanto.

She is survived by her mother, Billy May of Searcy, and one brother, Mike May of Searcy.

Graveside funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Weston Funeral Service of Harrisburg was in charge of arrangements.
